*waves to flist*

For the long weekend hubby and I decided to go to Fargo with my parents. We thought it would be nice just to get away for a couple of days and relax. That is exactly what we are doing. This morning I slept in until 8:30 and I didn't even feel guilty! Now we are just back in our room for a few minutes before heading off to the mall to do some window shopping. It should be fun. I will say that the part I'm enjoying the most though is the not making the bed and letting other people cook me breakfast! *g*

Oh, I know I have been a little MIA lately and I know I owe a few of you some messages, including an email to [info]poisonshades with dates, *facespalms*, and I will get to them, I promise! Also, Starbucks has their Pumpkin Spice Lattes once again. I had my first one of the year on Thursday....go get yours! lol

Ok, I'm off. I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Well, we're off to the desert, tent in tow! *g*

I'll be back Sunday evening, but I'm not sure if I'll make it online until Monday though, so I hope you all have a great weekend!

Oh, and [info]eight8toes, there will be no scorpions, but there is apparently a hog nosed, or long nosed, or long hog nosed lizard there. lol You may be getting some interesting texts. *g*

Does anyone know if hubby and I would need any vaccinations to go to England, Scotland, and Ireland? If so, which ones?

Hi everyone! *waves*

I'm still here in Dallas, but will be returning late tonight. That means that hopefully I'll be able to catch up on my comments and all your posts soon. I see a lot has been going on while I've been away, and I can't wait!

I'm having a great time and have no desire to return to snow. It was a record high of 84 here yesterday and I was told that we got a snow storm back at home. I guess I'll be dragging out my winter jacket very shortly. *g*

Talk to you all soon!

In 2 hours and 26 minutes it will officially be 2009, at least here in my part of the world that is. So I want to wish everyone on my flist....

Happy New Year!

I hope you all have a wonderful 2009. *hugs*

I know mine is looking like it will at least start well. Tomorrow morning hubby and I fly off to Dallas at 6am *cringes* for a belated Christmas and wedding reception with hubby's family. We are there until Sunday and I know we will have a great (and hopefully somewhat relaxing) time. After we get back home we are right back into the routine since I am back at school bright and early Monday morning. Scarily enough, I'm looking forward to going to class because I think it might actually mean I will get more rest! lol

I have other things on my upcoming 2009 agenda as well. I plan on volunteering Monday afternoons at an elementary school's resource program and I plan on taking on a large redecorating project in my house. The first thing to be changed.....the moss green walls in the dining room and kitchen. After three plus years, I think it's time we waved good-bye to those.

Now, I ask you what you have planned for 2009? Any upcoming projects or plans that you plan on undertaking?

Once again, I hope you all have a great upcoming year and thank you for helping to make this past one very enjoyable for me. *g*

On January 1, hubby and I will be flying down to Dallas, TX for four days. Hubby's dad and his new wife live there, and they are having their wedding reception on January 3. It appears that both hubby's brother and family and his sister will be there too, so it will be great to see everyone again. We're going to do a belated family Christmas as well, which I am really looking forward to. Anyway...we should have a full day that there will be no real events planned and hubby and I had wanted to do some touristy kind of stuff. The problem is I have no idea what there is to do in Dallas. Has anyone been or does anyone at least know of anything that would be fun to do? I haven't had a chance to look online yet, but I find that some of the best activities/sights come from personal recommendations. So if you have any, bring them on! lol

Oh and I am desperately trying to come up with a Christmas present for my father in law and his wife. I am open to any and all ideas!

Once again, I'm off.  This time my parents, myself, and hubby are flying to Toronto for a long weekend.  We leave tomorrow evening and come home Sunday night, so it's a short but sweet trip.  My uncle and his wife are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, so there will be lots of family filled events.  This should be fun, since I haven't seen most of my dad's family in a long time.  Also, we have all day Sunday to do touristy things, so I've been looking into a harbor cruise that looks good.  After that I plan on hitting up Eaton's Centre and doing some shopping before we have to head back to the airport.  Now I just have to hope that it doesn't rain.

I'm hoping to be around a bit tomorrow before we leave, but judging by the fact that I haven't even written up my packing list, I don't know if that is a possibility.  So, if I'm not I just wanted to say good-bye to my flist and say that I hope you all have a great weekend. *g*

So, in less than a week hubby and I are going to visit his relatives in upstate NY. We have had this trip booked for months, but up until today I haven't been able to get excited for it. Life has just been too busy, and the thought of what I need to get accomplished between now and Sunday morning, when we leave, is crippling.  I still don't know how I am going to get everything finished, however I have made up my draft itinerary for the trip and I AM EXCITED! Not just normal excited but jump up and down, run around the house, opening gifts on Christmas morning excited! I guess just seeing everything written down, made me realize that this time next week I'll be in NYC.

So for all of you that might be interested, I'm posting my draft itinerary (If you travel with me, you travel with plans. This is something that my go-with-the-flow inlaws and I don't see eye to eye on). I want to thank [info]eight8toes for all her help with my whirlwind, day and a half visit, to Montreal. I think I'm taking you up on several reccommendations, so thanks!

Itinerary )
Anyway, I'm sure this will bore a lot of you, but I am just excited and I wanted to share.

I stole this from [info]wrldpossibility.

Ok, so I don't live in the US, but have travelled there a lot. Also I'm bored and they don't seem to have one for Canada, so....

create your own visited states map

I'm not even going to do the world one because honestly other than the Grand Cayman Islands, I've never been outside North America. However I do love travelling and hopefully soon I'll be able to see the world.
