...but I'm not. These actually made my day a little better today.

Shamelessly gakked from [info]scribblecat. I just NEEDED to have these on my journal.

During the summer I decided it was time to change my header. As much as I still loved (and love) my PB/Michael and Sara header, I figured it was time for a change. [info]marap offered to make me one, and I finally took her up on her offer. *g* She took what I wanted and made it even better than I had expected.

Now, go see!

[info]chatty_cat

She did an amazing job, and I could not have asked for a better job. Thank you very much hon, and like I said in the email, if you want any sort of drabble, your wish is my command. *g*

Oh, and if you are like me and will miss my old header, it hasn't gone far. It's just in my user info. lol

P.S. Please disregard my last post. With hubby's help, I got it figured out. *g*

HELP!

[info]marap made me a lovely new header, but I cannot get it to work. I can't figure out the custom css.

If someone could help me with this, I would be very appreciative!

Me: So there is a Prison Break Behind the Scenes book.

Hubby: Ok

Me: And I want you to get it for me for Christmas.

Hubby: Ok

Me: But I don't actually want it for Christmas. I want to get it now, and we can just say it is part of my Christmas gift.

Hubby: Well where can we get it from?

Me: I heard that you can order it off Indigo for less than $30 including shipping. *waves to [info]linzi20*

Hubby: Well maybe we can order some other stuff so we get the free shipping.

Me: *g*

I have been doing school work since 2:30pm. It's now 12:11am. You do the math.

I have completed 2 assignments, and am almost done my third. I just need to cut out and glue clue cards together.

My brain? It's fried.

I should be actually working on them.

Probably.

However, that would require effort and concentration, and since I have spent the last couple of hours working on said assignments, I need a break! So what better break than listing the pure craziness these next few weeks will entail for me. Don't worry (aka worry!), though, I have already made a schedule of when I will be working on each assignment. I am sure you are all shocked. *g*

Due this week
Tuesday:
-Nesbit Journal Reflection
-Nesbit lesson plans
Wednesday:
-Critical Commentary for my Language and Literacy Class
Thursday:
-Nesbit Journal Reflection
-Social Studies Learning Center
Friday:
-Math Lesson Plan
-Math Personal Reflection Journal (this I am about half way finished)
-Language and Literacy Letter Formation (done and handed in! YAY!)
-Children's Literature Bibliography (I've started this. I spent the entire afternoon on Friday in the library, finding books)
-Adapted Teaching Strategy on Autism

Due next week
Tuesday:
-Special Education 10 page paper on Autism
-Art assignment worh 100%
-Social Studies Unit plan

Oh, did I mention, that I have to plan two units for my practicum as well? I think I am going to completely lose my mind!

I was in a bookstore today looking at some travel books for next summer and on my way out I saw a ad. Apparently Diana Gabaldon will be in the city (at a bookstore, not the one I was in, but the same chain), to do a book signing! I love the Outlander series, well what I have read of it anyway. *g* I'm not sure if I will get a chance to go, but I've never been to a book signing, and I think it would be a neat experience.

I have a small favor to ask. Does anyone know where I could get a link for Sunday's episode of The Amazing Race? Our DVR has been acting funny and for some reason didn't record either the normal showing or the time shift one, so now I'm left without the episode. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. *g*

First, Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends! I hope you eat lots of turkey. We had our Thanksgiving dinner last night at my uncle's house, and as usual, it was just ok. I don't mind though because everyone knows that the fun Thanksgiving is at our place for American Thanksgiving! *brushes off apron* lol

Anyway, I'm in the midst of guest chaos, but I wanted to post a quick picture of our unwanted snow storm we got on Friday. All I can say is that I am very thankful that it melted.

I don't think I have ever seen this before... *waves to [info]lauratnz*

If you have any idea where it went, please ask it to return for me. I have a plate of cookies...

As of right now, I am seriously considering moving to Mexico. It's snowing! It's October 9 and it's snowing! What kind of craziness is this? The leaves on the trees are still green! (Well the leaves that were on the trees are still green. A lot of them are on the ground now.)

You know that cold, miserable, wet few months we called summer? I'll have that back now please.

On Friday, my cohort at school is having a pot luck and I said I would bring some baking. I've decided that I want to make cookies, but the thing is, I'm kind of bored with all my usual cookie recipes. The only one I feel like is peanut butter, but a girl in my cohort is allergic to peanuts, so I can't bring those. So dear flist, I ask for your assistance. Does anyone have any yummy cookie recipes they would like to share?

...which is somewhat like the 4th grade slump, but different since I don't think any of us are 9. *g*

No, what I'm talking about is the fact that there are days when I can click on my flist and the whole first page (or more), is taken up with icon posts (not that I don't like a good icon). To me this is sad. I miss all the activity around here. Now I know that without spoilers, and pictures, and episodes to talk about everything is a little less exciting, and I get that, but I still want to read rl posts, and play around with memes (really)! It's like with the end of PB came the end of the liveliness of LJ, and I really wish we could change that. I am far from blameless in all of this because I know that I have far too often not checked my flist, or have written the update posts where it's about 2 weeks compiled into a couple of long-winded paragraphs, or have not been as prompt as I would like to read fics or posts. I would love if we could somehow change this. Everyone is moving on from our show, but that doesn't mean I want to lose contact with people I would consider my friends. I don't really have any ideas of what we could do to change this, but I would like to.

Remember how yesterday I promised the only Christmas thing I would do for a long time would be the Christmas cards (if you want one, email me! *pokes*)? Remember how it was all about being organized? Well, I think that tonight may have pushed me beyond the sane line on this whole thing. When I was at Costco I bought Christmas wrapping paper and Christmas ornaments for our bookshelf. *facepalm*

Help me! I think I may need some sort of intervention here! *g*

For the long weekend hubby and I decided to go to Fargo with my parents. We thought it would be nice just to get away for a couple of days and relax. That is exactly what we are doing. This morning I slept in until 8:30 and I didn't even feel guilty! Now we are just back in our room for a few minutes before heading off to the mall to do some window shopping. It should be fun. I will say that the part I'm enjoying the most though is the not making the bed and letting other people cook me breakfast! *g*

Oh, I know I have been a little MIA lately and I know I owe a few of you some messages, including an email to [info]poisonshades with dates, *facespalms*, and I will get to them, I promise! Also, Starbucks has their Pumpkin Spice Lattes once again. I had my first one of the year on Thursday....go get yours! lol

Ok, I'm off. I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

-Laundry. Both folding and washing.

-Making dinner. Wait, not that! I forgot, hubby called and said he will be late landscaping at my parents' (he is making them a retaining wall), so we are eating there. Phew!

-Cleaning, like everything...bathrooms, floors, dusting, you name it.

-Changing the calender from August to September. What? It's like 3 feet away and there is a desk in my way. lol

-Organizing the laundry room. Stuff is everywhere, seriously.

-Shopping. I have about 3 different places to go tonight including the mall, Walmart, and Chapters.

-Reading. That's probably self explanatory.

-Finding my passport. We are going to Fargo for the long weekend so I kind of need that. lol

What am I doing? Pointlessly spamming my flist apparently. lol I did go grocery shopping though. That has to count for something, right? *g*

I'll be back Sunday evening, but I'm not sure if I'll make it online until Monday though, so I hope you all have a great weekend!

Oh, and [info]eight8toes, there will be no scorpions, but there is apparently a hog nosed, or long nosed, or long hog nosed lizard there. lol You may be getting some interesting texts. *g*

On Friday (or maybe Saturday, I seem to be having memory issues this morning), hubby and I rented Seven Pounds. Last night we finally were able to get a chance to watch it. It is definitely the best movie I have seen in awhile next to Harry Potter of course *g*. Will Smith did an incredible acting job and the story was amazing, I was crying at the end and even after it was over. I had heard that it was a little jumpy and hard to follow, which I can see and understand, but both hubby and I found it fine. If you have some time and are thinking about what to rent, I definitely recommend it. *g*
