Hubby and I just finished watching S3, and I must say, I loved it!

In closing, I was wondering if anyone had read the Dexter book? Both hubby and I were wondering if it was any good, and I would love to hear what people think.

Surely you all knew that about me though. *g*

This weekend hubby and I started watching S3 of Dexter. Now, I love Dexter! I basically consumed S1 and S2, and would have continued with S3 if I knew anything about downloading. Now that I have the DVDs and can watch at my leisure, I'm in Dexter heaven. So far I am loving S3, both hubby and I are finding it better than S2, and I can't wait to find out what happens. I won't say much here because we are not too far into it thanks to all the assessments I needed to analyze. Watch this space though. I will say more. lol

Before Dexter came out on DVD, we rented the first season of True Blood. Both of us had heard good things about it, but I had also heard that it was like Twilight for adults, and since I am a hold out on that front.... Regardless, we decided to watch it and I must say, I love it! You would think a show about vampires coming 'out of the coffin' would be a little hard to swallow, but it's not. It's an HBO show and both the acting and writing are excellent. It takes place in a small town in Louisiana, and is based off The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlene Harris. It also weaves many gay rights issues into the story through the idea that vampires are fighting for equal rights as humans.

I don't want to say too much in case some of you may plan on watching the show, but that description does not do the show justice. If you are looking for something new to watch, I highly recommend it. *g*

Oh, does anyone know when Friday Night Lights starts? Is it like last year with it being in the fall for Direct TV subscribers, and in January for the rest of us?

Hubby and I just finished watching Season 2 of Dexter this evening, and I don't know if I have ever been this disappointed for a season of a show to end (disregarding PB of course). At the beginning of Season 2 I felt that I was not enjoying it as much as Season 1. I still loved it, but I just wasn't as big of a fan. That all changed however.

A few quick thoughts on Season 2 (S2 spoilers) )

Now I don't know what we will do until the DVD of Season 3 comes out. I know we could try and download it, but we aren't really downloading people. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long.
